An orignial  mixed media painting on canvas, called "Acceptance".
I have used acrylic paint and liquid pigments.
I have named this painting Acceptance as it is about how I eventually accepted the deteriorateion in my eyesight.
The blue pigment in the centre of the canvas shows the turmoil and loss of self as my eyesight changed within days, the loss of control of my daily life. In the background are bold rich colours pushing forward signifying how my world began to change. There are intentionally blurred sections within the painting, this indicates my eyesight
Having my first Guide Dog Briar enter my life gave me back my independence, as I regained my confidence in my new existence I was able to leave my house alone, I began to enjoy the colours and beautiful nature on our walks around our seaside village. The colour is the joy and positiveness which I find on my daily walks.
The measurements are: 158 cm height. 119cm width.
